In July 2021, University Archivist Karl Magee and project partner Hugh Hagan from the National Records of Scotland detailed the rationale and set-up of the ARCH project to the ICA-SUV Conference. Their presentation outlined some of the key aspects of the ARCH project, including the unique regulatory context in Scotland created by the Public Records (Scotland) Act 2011, the relationships between partner organisations, and the specific challenges posed by the research.
